White tea comes from four counties in Fujian province, Fu Ding, Zhen He, Jian Yang, and Song Xi, but Silver Needle is only made in Fu Ding and Zhen He. These counties grow unique cultivars of the tea bush, Fu Ding Da Bai and Zheng He Da Bai, which are capable of producing the large and stylish tea buds that Silver Needle is known for. Silver Needle is among the most revered of Chinese teas.

Our organic white tea - silver needle also known as Bai Hao Yin Zhen, is from certified organic plantations. Organic white tea silver needle is harvested before Chinese season of Qing Ming in early April, and picked on only two days of the entire year. To make organic white tea silver needle Chinese tea pickers only pick the top most tea bud. Unlike green tea, white tea is never fired or steamed to kill the enzymatic action that causes oxidation. The organic white tea bud is dried naturally using sunlight. Organic white tea's colour is typically not as bright or green as you would expect from a green tea. Silver needle is the most famous white tea, with a delicate, light, and slightly sweet flavour.
There are plenty of health benefits of organic white tea. A separate study, conducted by German scientists, and published by BioMed Central Ltd, found evidence suggesting that white tea will burn away fat cells. Among Chinese teas, white tea is the least processed tea and has the highest antioxidant levels. Antioxidants are nutrients that protect the body from damage by free radicals. Organic white tea is loaded with these protective nutrients. Organic white tea may have profound power against cancer-causing cells and against many different types of cancer, such as colon, prostate, and stomach cancers. Organic white tea also helps lower high blood pressure and protects the heart. Organic white tea contains small amounts of fluoride and other nutrients which keeps the teeth strong and healthy. In summary, organic white tea has a great range of effects on the body and a tremendous number of benefits to your health.
Organic white tea makes a perfect gift for tea lovers. It has a light, refreshing taste, and the Silver Needle varieties are strikingly beautiful. It's also the Gift of Health. You'll feel good knowing you're enriching someone else's life.
Organic white tea - silver Needle is a very approachable tea. It is easier on the stomach than a green tea and even a long infusion in high temperature water will not bitter the flavour. You will find it very easy to drink and very easy to brew.
